Gifts for Bridal Parties
Not many weddings are what you would call “traditional” these days, but we tend to still uphold many of the smaller traditions that weddings of the past used to have. Traditions like, money dances, giving gifts to the bridal party and our bridal party pulling something with special meaning from our wedding cake.
These are the parts that seem like less work when it comes to the planning aspect of the wedding. Naturally, the brides tend to get stuck with the shopping of gifts but, for some, this is a therapeutic break from all the other hardcore plans being executed. It can be tiring, for sure.
When it comes to gift giving to your bridal party, you have a few common gifts that are usually readily available to you at any party store or discount warehouse. In today’s wedding world, brides are getting more hip to finding gifts that will be useful to her bridesmaids more than once. Here are a few commonly given gifts to bridal parties:
Personalized Totes/Bags:
Many brides are ordering personalized totes or other carrying bags for her bridesmaids. These can be in the form of a make-up bag, clothes tote or even small purse. They are commonly embroidered with the bridesmaid’s names or her initials and are always a big hit.
Jewelry:
Jewelry can be given to a bridal party to wear on the actual day of the wedding. The jewelry is often picked from what is already in style and could be worn for another occasion.
Photo Frames/Albums:
Photo frames and/or albums are great gifts for anyone. Frames and albums can be personalized to each member of the bridal party, relate to the wedding theme or be plain. It is also nice, if time permits the bride to adding a picture of her and the receiving bridal party member in the frame or album.
These are just a few commonly used bridal party gifts. It is also nice when gifting someone to make it as personal as you can. There is nothing like being a part of a bridal party with 10 other ladies and have something made with only you in mind. Any type of keepsake, store bought or handmade token of appreciation will always be accepted. After all, we are letting them know that we love and appreciate their time and support.
